Growing Artists in Excellence and in Ministry

The SBC School of Performing Arts (SPA) offers private and group instruction in instrumental music, musical theatre, and dance, to provide students of all ages the opportunity to develop the gifts God has given them.

SPA is a part of the Woodway Campus Worship + Arts Ministry.

SPA Musical Theatre

SPA Musical Theatre seeks to develop a student’s confidence, stage presence, and love for performing. Students are provided a strong foundation in stage acting, healthy Broadway vocal technique, and musical theatre dance styles in fun, God-honoring classes beginning in second grade.

Weekly classes and end-of-semester productions are held in the fall and spring during our regular season, as well as a yearly summer Musical Theatre Camp.

SPA Dance Classes

SPA Dance classes foster a love of dance through quality instruction in various styles of dance (with special emphasis on classical ballet, jazz, tap, Broadway, and hip hop) in a positive, Christ-centered environment. SPA Dance offers classes from beginner to advanced levels, beginning at age 3. Classes are held weekly throughout the regular season, culminating in our Spring Recitals. Summer classes are offered in a “Mini-May” session, as well as Summer Dance Intensives, and Dance Camps.

Private Lessons

Private lessons offer young musicians one-on-one instrumental training with caring and passionate instructors. Students work with their instructor in weekly lessons to master musical concepts and grow in technique and musicality. Yearly showcases and recitals allow students to share their musical growth as they develop into the worship leaders of tomorrow!   Private lessons continue through the summer, and a summer Worship Band Camp is offered to students with experience on a primary instrument.
