Forgiveness

Salvation means being forgiven and made right with God. We've all sinned and are separated from Him (Romans 3:23), but Jesus took our place and paid the penalty for us (Romans 5:8). Through faith in Him, we receive the gift of eternal life—not by earning it, but by believing and confessing Him as Lord (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10).

All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's standard.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23

Our sin separates us from God. No amount of good works, kindness, or religion can remove that separation or earn His forgiveness.

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you." — Isaiah 59:2

"For the wages of sin is death…" — Romans 6:23a

But God loves us deeply and made a way for our relationship with Him to be restored—through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus took the punishment we deserved for our sin.

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." — 2 Corinthians 5:21

He came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose again to conquer sin and death. When we trust Him, our sins are forgiven, and our relationship with God is restored. We become part of His family forever.

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9–10

You place your faith in Jesus by admitting your sin, believing that He died and rose again for you, and choosing to follow Him as Lord and Savior. That simple act of trust and obedience results in our sins being forgiven. Our relationship with God is firmly established, because we're immediately adopted into His family as His son or daughter.
